You want to appear on the first page of Google, right? You have heard of backlinks and wonder why they are not working out! As a leading digital marketing agency, we have figured out some tactics to acquire backlinks that don’t work out. We are advising from an SEO authority perspective. Here are a few reasons:
Press releases’ links
Wrong links can also appear in press releases, but this does not automatically result in a penalty. The procedure is more of an issue.
Links from press releases
Press releases can also contain bad links, but you will still be penalized for every press release. The problem lies instead in the procedure.
Google declared that with immediate effect, press releases containing an unusually high number of backlinks would no longer be considered. There are a few things to think about, though.
Naturally, you may continue to compose excellent press releases and post them on appropriate platforms. However, you should refrain from using too many or excessive keywords in your releases and only submit them to a few news outlets. The issue only emerges when brands consistently get things wrong and attempt to explicitly use press releases to obtain backlinks.
The search results cannot be manipulated as SEO requires time, and there is no magic bullet. Publishing numerous press releases with links in them will also be ineffective. Because they are increasingly more sophisticated, search engines now penalize such methods.
Links from websites unrelated to your industry
Although I’ve already discussed spam websites, ineffective backlinks might occasionally come from inappropriate sources. A link from a website that deals with animal care might be pertinent for a pet store with an online store. Probably not a connection from an Italian cheesemaker.
Not all backlinks are beneficial. It may be deemed irrelevant if it comes from a source unrelated to what you’re giving. Notably, this doesn’t necessarily imply spam. Still, it could lead to confusion if you suddenly start receiving links from many websites that have nothing to do with your business or industry. You risk losing your position for critical search phrases if search engines start displaying your website for keywords that have nothing to do with your business.
Links from discussion forums and comments
Forums for debate were trendy in the early days of the internet. Platforms like Reddit and Quora demonstrate that discussion forums are still popular and used to interact and share mutual interests with other users, even in the present era.
You can learn more about everything on those two sites, including your car’s model, the newest trends, and other subjects. If you enjoy participating in such places, you can keep doing so, but you must be sincere and have fruitful dialogues. Even a backlink to advertising would be unacceptable here. Avoid sharing links since Google will detect manipulation or fraud instantly.
